Derek Anthony was appropriately imposing as Sarastro.
The Western soloists, had Vietnamese actors standing closely behind them and speaking in Vietnamese for the dialogue that is interspersed with the musical numbers. The one exception was Derek Anthony as Sarastro, to whom all praise is due for learning the Vietnamese equivalent of his lines. The opera as a whole was sung in English.
